Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations in Norristown, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while upholding Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology and communications infrastructure location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control systems, alarms, cameras, and communications equipment; report unusual activity, equipment issues, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrol activities, incidents, access control events, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
