IT Technician - Remote

YA is seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented IT Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of systems, hardware, and software. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of IT systems, and the ability to communicate effectively with users of varying technical expertise.
Must be in Eastern Time Zone Role & Responsibilities:
- Monitor the Tech Support ticket queue and ensure all requests are handled promptly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts and permissions.
- Document and track issues, resolutions, and work performed in a ticketing system.
- Provide training and guidance to users on best practices and IT policies.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to address complex issues and improve overall IT service delivery.
- Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to improve service delivery and support processes.
- Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a customer-service orientation.
- Possess a strong self-starter mentality to go out and find things to improve within IT operations.
- Complete quality work on time, managing competing priorities and cross-functional projects.
- Other projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems. iPad OS is a plus.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting and basic network concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
- Experience managing Microsoft 365 cloud services (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
- A self-starter and eager to learn.
