Truck Parts Counter Associate

Motor Truck Equipment Company/Kenworth of Pennsylvania has been a family owned business since 1933.

We are looking for a Front Parts Counter Associates to join our team in Shartlesville, PA. Tuesday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Direct deposit is also available to all employees. Paid time off is available after four months of employment. After one year of employment, employees are eligible to begin participation in the retirement program.

This position is eligible for the quarterly parts department incentive program. A bonus is paid quarterly based upon the department achieving monthly sales and performance goals.

We seek applicants with some work experience in a heavy duty truck parts department. Candidates with a similar amount of working experience as an automobile mechanic or in an auto parts store/department are also encouraged to apply. Primary Responsibilities:

· Respond to customer inquiries and needs for parts in person and by telephone which includes providing quotes/estimates of the cost.

· Recommend parts and/or service to customers.

· Maintain relationships with established customers and build relationships with potential customers.

· Possess knowledge of products, services, and parts. Quickly learn new products and promotions.

· Complete necessary paperwork for each transaction in an accurate, timely manner.

· Process credits, make adjustments, and monitor for restocking charges on all parts sales completed.

Qualifications:

· Two years working experience in an automobile or heavy duty truck parts or service department.

· Excellent customer service and strong communication skills.

· Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs.) and occasionally pulling parts in our warehouse.

· Must be familiar with using a PC to select parts and provide price quotes to customer.

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Must be able to pass a criminal background check, driving record check, and drug screen.
