Solutions and Development Engineer
Location : Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite in Conshohocken, PA
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation : $95k - $110k

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a collaborative technology team supporting a mission-critical platform used to process and score clinical examination data for osteopathic medical students nationwide. This is a unique opportunity to become a key contributor and long-term technical owner of an internally developed platform that plays a critical role in the organization's future. The ideal candidate is a hands-on senior engineer who combines deep technical expertise with strong business communication skills and a passion for building scalable, maintainable systems. This role is highly visible and requires someone who can work across technical and business teams, influence platform direction, and help drive strategic technology decisions. Job Summary
- Become a key contributor to the organization's internally developed clinical assessment platform.
- Learn and manage the platform's data ingestion and processing workflows.
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack applications using modern .NET technologies.
- Build automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Support ongoing development efforts across the platform and related systems.
- Troubleshoot application, integration, and data-related issues.
- Architecture & System Design
- Participate in architectural planning and technical design discussions.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to platform scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps and modernization efforts.
- Collaborate with technical leadership on future-state platform strategy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Work closely with architects, software engineers, vendors, and business teams.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.
- Serve as a trusted technical resource and platform expert.
- 10 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with:
- ASP.NET MVC
- .NET Core
- .NET Framework
- Entity Framework
- SQL and relational databases
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-level applications.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and system design principles.
- Full-stack development experience across front-end and back-end environments.
- Experience working with data-intensive applications and integrations.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot, analyze, and solve complex technical challenges.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Database administration or database performance tuning experience.
- Experience building workflow automation and data processing solutions.
- Experience integrating with external vendors and third-party systems.
- Background supporting internally developed enterprise platforms.
- Experience serving as a technical lead, lead engineer, or solution architect while remaining hands-on with development.
