Controller

You’ll enjoy a role supporting senior leadership with strategic insights while managing a remote team. Controller Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master’s preferred
- 5-10 years of leadership experience within multi-entity organizations
- Proven ability to manage remote teams effectively
- Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency with ERP systems, accounting software, and advanced Excel skills
- Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
- Excellent communication skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently while fostering team collaboration
Controller Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Oversee the annual budgeting cycle and long-term financial forecasting
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Collaborate with operational leaders to improve financial understanding and streamline processes
- Manage audit relationships and coordinate tax filings
- Supervise, mentor, and develop remote finance team members
- Drive system upgrades and process improvements, including a major banking transition
- Review and validate all general ledger entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Support payroll processes and ensure timely financial reporting
