Technical Architecture Specialist

This role is responsible for establishing and leading a Power BI capability, serving as the primary resource for designing and delivering data visualization solutions that support business decision-making. The position requires a senior-level developer who can work independently to translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions while also guiding best practices and mentoring team members. Duties:
- Design, document, develop, test, implement, and support Power BI solutions
- Deliver high-quality dashboards and reports, including leading testing validation and implementation activities
- Advise leadership on Power BI initiatives, project milestones, and resolution of technical challenges
- Collaborate closely with business units to understand processes and gather reporting requirements
- Translate business needs into effective data models, analytics, and visualization solutions
- Provide coaching and guidance to staff on Power BI best practices, standards, and efficient development approaches
- Act as a subject matter expert and internal resource for Power BI tools and capabilities
- Identify and recommend improvements to Power BI development processes and methodologies
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end users
- Independently manage development efforts, demonstrating strong decision-making and initiative
- 5+ years of experience developing Power BI solutions
- 5+ years of strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
- 5+ years of experience working with SQL and relational databases
- Proven ability to lead, plan, develop, and implement Power BI projects
- Ability to provide technical support to end users
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong decision-making skills
