CAD Draftsman – Bridge Railings & Drainage

Hall Manufacturing Technology LLC is seeking strong candidates to join our growing detailing and engineering team focusing on DOT bridge railings & drainage systems.

CAD Draftsman Responsibilities but not limited to:

· Review contract drawings, special provisions and estimates to understand scope of work

· Develop and check erection and detail fabrication drawings

· Adhere to standard drawing detailing practices

· Support the project manager & shop by creating bill of materials, pipe wraps, cut files, etc…

· Maintaining and implementing drawings using SolidWorks PDM

· Working within a shop environment to implement new processes or improve current processes

Requirements

· Associate degree in technical drafting or drafting certifications

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred

· Ability to read and understand structural steel contract drawings

· Ability to work within a team setting

· Understanding of metal fabrication processes and procedures.

· Strong math & geometry skills

· Strong written communication skills.

· Proficient at 3D modeling (SolidWorks preferred)

· Structural steel shape and sheet metal design experience
