Role:

We are seeking a Lead Financial Data Analyst to support one or of our manufacturing client's operating subsidiaries, a specialized manufacturer serving both internal and external customers. This role sits at the intersection of financial analysis, accounting fundamentals, and modern data tools, and is ideal for a senior analyst who wants broader responsibility, a step up in title and long-term growth into finance leadership.

This is a hands-on role—you’ll own analysis, support the month-end close, and help modernize reporting and decision-making using Power BI and Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting for the business unit

• Support the Controller and Director of Finance (as well as participate) in the monthly close process, including journal entries and variance analysis

• Partner closely with operations and leadership to understand performance drivers

• Build, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards, measures, and models

• Work with data from multiple sources, including ERP and SQL-based systems

• Use Python for data manipulation, automation, and improving reporting workflows

• Oversee and support one direct report (AP / clerical / reporting support)

• Help improve analytics adoption and data-driven decision-making across the finance team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field

• Strong understanding of debits, credits, and month-end close

• Hands-on experience with Power BI - Building dashboards and reports, Creating measures (DAX), Updating and maintaining reports independently, Connecting to SQL or other data sources

• Working knowledge of Python, particularly for - Data manipulation & Automating recurring tasks or reports

• Experience working in a manufacturing or multi-entity environment preferred

Working Situation:

This will be hybrid with 3 days a week in the office
