Job Summary:
The Center for Professional Development in Career and Technical Education in the College of Education and Huma Development is a grant-funded program charged with delivering field-based teacher education programming in a specialized setting. The full-time Office Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall support to all aspects of the center including but not limited to providing administrative and logistical support for staff meetings, professional development workshops and seminar, new teacher communications and testing processes, CTE certification, New Teacher Orientation, and maintaining supplies. This position will track and report CTE job leads, ensure that they are posted on Handshake, and send appropriate announcements out via email. Other duties for this position include file management, data entry, audit preparation, event planning and meeting coordination. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
At least 2 years of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Required Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated proficiency in using online systems, virtual meeting platforms and Microsoft 365, including Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Google products.
- Ability to be detailed oriented and provide accurate and timely information.
- Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills.
- Must be able to listen and communicate effectively in writing.
- Proven track record of high-level customer service, time management and organizational skills.
- Proven track record of working with complex systems and databases.
- Ability to complete accurate data entry, prepare written reports and PowerPoints, and present information in a clear manner.
- Ability to work remotely and/or in-person as required.
- Ability to seek input and troubleshoot information.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and demonstrate cultural competency.
- Ability to use initiative sound judgment and have or willing to learn knowledge of department and University policies and procedures to manage disagreements, solve problems and make good decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Must be able to travel to various locations across the state as needed.
Preferred:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, education, workforce or human services fields.
- Experience working in Office Coordinator role in diverse environments with diverse stakeholders
- Experience working in higher education and/or technical training or CTE landscapes.
This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
