Food Service Aide
Sign-On Bonus: $500.00 (for new hires only, paid after 90 days of employment)

Wonderspring is seeking a Food Service Aide to join our vibrant team at our Star 4 New Market West Center ! The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM . - Organize, prepare, and deliver breakfast, lunch, and snacks to classrooms, ensuring all meals align with the menu and accommodate dietary needs and allergies.
- Monitor food and supply inventory; place weekly orders per CACFP, Kremmer’s, and Novick guidelines. Verify deliveries against invoices and promptly address any discrepancies.
- Complete daily meal count forms and inventory sheets. Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with food program requirements.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and appliances regularly. Perform monthly deep-cleaning tasks and adhere to all health and safety standards.
- Check and log refrigerator and freezer temperatures daily, reporting any issues immediately.
- Update and distribute food allergy and preference lists. Ensure all classrooms are stocked with necessary dining supplies.
- Minimum, High School Diploma/GED
- Food Manager's Certification, required
- Abide by all CACFP requirements
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents/guardians
- Ability to maintain high level standards of confidentiality regarding center, staff, and family matters.
