Applications Engineer I ( Thermal Exp.) Horsham, PA
- Conduct customer technology needs assessment, alignment with engineering standards, technology decision, and product sizing.
 - Perform heat and mass balances and product design.
 - Conduct thermal analysis and simulations to optimize system performance.
 - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, project management, engineering.
 - Conduct on-site process audits for customers to maximize efficiency of existing equipment.
 - Develop long-term relationships with customers as a trusted advisor.
 - Support customer and product testing in the Innovation Lab.
 - Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, competitive offerings and regulatory changes.
 - Conduct product presentations to showcase the value of our solutions.
 - Clearly articulate CPM’s technology offerings and value proposition at trade shows and customer meetings.
 - Provide feedback to improve existing offerings and opportunity areas for new product development.
 - Define technical project needs to cost estimating and review estimates prior to project moving to proposal phase.
 - Responsive to requests and inquiries from internal and external customers.
 - Manage project timelines to ensure milestones and deliverables are met on schedule.
 - Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or related field.
 - 3-5 years of technical experience in thermal, food- industrial processing.
 - Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools
 - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
 - Strong project management skills and ability to work collaborative in team selling environment
 - Strong communication skills
 
- Must have Thermal processing or industrial drying experience
 - Knowledge of Engineering and Manufacturing processes
