Spanish-Speaking Intake/Legal Assistant

Stern & Cohen, a Philadelphia Workers’ Compensation law firm, is seeking a Spanish-speaking Intake/Legal Assistant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with clients in both English and Spanish.

The Intake/Legal Assistant will serve as one of the first points of contact for prospective clients while also providing administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals in the firm. This position requires strong communication skills, excellent follow-up, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Answer calls from prospective and current clients in both English and Spanish
• Communicate with Spanish-speaking clients and assist with translation when needed
• Follow up with client leads by phone, email, and text message
• Schedule appointments for new clients and send new client paperwork
• Assist with intake screening and gather basic case information from prospective clients
• Follow up with referral partners regarding the status of client referrals
• Log records into client files, including mail, medical records, medical bills, discovery, and other documents
• Prepare medical record requests for clients’ treating physicians
• Assist with scheduling depositions, appointments, and other case-related matters
• Help assemble medical indexes and follow up on outstanding medical records
• Scan, organize, and maintain client files
• Provide administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications: xrczosw

• Must be fluent in both English and Spanish
• Prior legal experience preferred
• Workers’ Compensation experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent telephone, communication, and active listening skills
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to handle sensitive client information with professionalism and confidentiality
• Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment

Salary commensurate with experience.
