Production Laborer

TOPS Staffing is hiring a Production Laborer for a manufacturing company located in McKees Rocks, PA. This is a great union career opportunity with room for growth, excellent benefits, and stable long-term employment.

Shift & Schedule:

• Afternoon shift: 2:30 PM 11:00 PM
• Night shift: 10:30 PM 7:00 AM
• Monday through Friday, with potential weekend work as needed (not often)

Pay: $20.00/hr during training / contract period with TOPS (2 months) $25.00+hr after training period, upon hire-in with client, plus union benefits, company pension, 401k and more!

Job Overview

Join a dynamic production team supporting multiple roles in a fast-paced facility. Your day-to-day will include operating semi-automated lines, assisting with packaging and quality checks, and supporting transfer and storage of materials. No two days are alike, offering variety and the chance to learn different facets of manufacturing. Once trained, you'll transition into a union role with competitive benefits and job stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate semi-automated production lines to ensure smooth operation
• Load and unload materials, bottles, drums, and packaging supplies
• Clear jams and perform minor adjustments on equipment
• Collect samples for quality testing and handle basic quality assurance tasks
• Assist with transferring materials, connecting hoses, and monitoring storage tank levels
• Support packaging, boxing, and wrapping finished products

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred

Knowledge of packaging, processing, and machine operation

Ability to operate a forklift (training provided if needed)

Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating

Valid driver's license (must be obtained within the first month if not already held)

Physical & Work Environment

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 45 pounds regularly

Comfortable working on off-shift hours (2nd or 3rd shift long-term)

Work involves elevated heights (tank inspections) and exposure to moving equipment

Routine work includes handling hoses, monitoring pumps, and performing manual tasks in a busy plant setting
