The Eastwood Company is seeking a Quality Control Engineering Technician to play a vital role in delivering Eastwood’s exceptional customer experience by testing and repairing products throughout their life cycle. This position minimizes product loss by ensuring repaired items are sellable and collects critical data to support the Engineering team in enhancing customer experience and product quality. Responsibilities include physical inspections, repairs, repackaging, testing, data analysis, report generation, and collaboration with customer service teams to provide top-tier support.

- Evaluate product returns to identify causes of failure.
- Use hand tools to assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot products during inspections.
- Perform product repairs and repackagin g to create sellable merchandise.
- Conduct product testing and inspections for fit, form, and function.
- Corrective Action Reports (CARs) creation and documentation.
- Basic mechanical and electrical analysis .
- Collaborate with customer service teams (contact center, technical advisors, retail store) and others to provide support and parts when needed with emails, Teams chats, and conversations.
- Inspection reports using computer systems.
- Repair log documenting work performed and root cause analysis.
- Use measurement and test equipment to evaluate products.
- Utilize ERP systems to look up information and update status/location details.
- Generate and summarize data reports from repair logs and returns, working with IT and other teams to request user-friendly report formats.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Manual dexterity and mechanically inclined.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Analytical and reporting skills.
- Problem-solving and reasoning abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Familiarity with hand tools and measurement/test equipment.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation.
- Capability to evaluate and test products according to specifications.
- Basic understanding of electrical circuitry.
- General automotive knowledge and experience, desirable
- Two-year technical degree, desirable
- Lift and move heavy items as needed (up to 50 lbs)
- Work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
