Job Title: Production Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to oversee our production operations on the 2nd shift, from 3 PM to finish (approximately 11 PM-12 AM), Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will work closely with the production scheduler to ensure all production requirements are met efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the production scheduler to meet production requirements.
• Monitor all production lines to ensure efficient daily operation.
• Supervise Team Leads, Machine Operators, and Product and Material Handlers.
• Communicate job expectations and coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
• Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain workflow by monitoring process steps.
• Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel.
• Analyze production performance records and data to work on continuous improvement and cost savings.
• Resolve personnel issues by investigating and recommending actions.
• Build and maintain positive relationships for effective feedback on work performance.
• Conduct daily training and follow-up on product SOPs.
• Collaborate with the safety manager to foster a safe working environment.
• Plan and facilitate department meetings focusing on employee safety, food safety, and departmental opportunities.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

• Professional communication skills
• Basic mathematical skills
• Willingness to work mandatory Saturdays as determined by customer demand

Work Environment

The position requires working mandatory overtime hours, including some weekends and occasional holidays. Expect extended periods in cold and wet meat processing or packaging environments, necessitating the use of protective clothing.
