The Opportunity

As the Market General Manager (MGM), you will serve as the executive leader for the Pittston market. You will oversee a local team of approximately 11 members—including warehouse staff, drivers, and office personnel. This is a high-autonomy role designed for a leader who wants to manage a P&L, ensure operational excellence, and serve as the primary driver of sales growth for the territory.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of proven managerial experience (Distribution, Warehouse, or Automotive Aftermarket preferred).

  • Sales DNA: A track record of driving sales growth and managing local territories.

  • Data-Driven: proficiency in Excel and a solid understanding of P&L management.

  • Leadership Style: Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams (drivers, warehouse, admin).

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to operate a motor vehicle and occasionally lift/move 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

Market Growth & Sales Leadership

  • Primary Sales Driver: Own the sales cycle from lead generation to account management; this role is the sole engine for local growth.

  • Dealer Relations: Cultivate high-level partnerships with key accounts and local decision-makers.

  • Market Strategy: Analyze local data to identify trends and implement plans to capture market share.

Operations & Financial Oversight

  • P&L Accountability: Full responsibility for the facility budget, weekly scorecards, and financial targets.

  • Logistics & Compliance: Oversee routing, inventory management, and strict adherence to OSHA and DOT safety standards.

  • Asset Management: Proactively manage Accounts Receivable and facility standards to ensure a peak-performance operation.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Talent Development: Hire, coach, and mentor a staff of ~10, fostering a culture of personal and professional excellence.

  • Performance Coaching: Provide "shoulder-to-shoulder" training and clear feedback to drive team results.

  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure local operations are fully aligned with national goals and the company's core mission.
