Hazardous Waste Manager
- Lead daily hazardous waste operations including collection, segregation, packaging, and disposal.
- Ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, OSHA, RCRA, and state environmental regulations.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct audits, inspections, and safety evaluations.
- Oversee waste profiling, sampling, manifests, and regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate shipments with transportation and disposal partners to maintain cradle-to-grave compliance.
- Supervise, train, and mentor team members on HAZWOPER and safety protocols.
- Serve as primary compliance contact for customers and internal teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost control, and safety performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 3+ years of hazardous waste, chemical waste, or environmental compliance experience
- Supervisory or management experience required
- Strong working knowledge of RCRA, EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Safety Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and solve operational challenges
- Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between facilities
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed
- Must pass background check and drug screen
