Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Press Assistant, where you will have the opportunity to grow within the printing industry. This entry-level position is perfect for those eager to learn and develop into a Press Operator.

Responsibilities

• Assist Press Operators in setup, make-ready, and clean-up activities.
• Change labels from one job to another.
• Clean ink pans and other ancillary equipment.
• Strip plates from cylinders.
• Follow all quality assurance checks.
• Differentiate colors on labels and read/use a ruler for various measurements.
• Participate in department meetings, process improvement events, and trainings/safety.
• Lift up to 50 pounds at various times.
• Stand/move around for long periods of time.

Essential Skills

• General production skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Proficiency in reading and using a ruler or tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to input data into a computer when required.
• Differentiate colors and labels.
• Read and understand job tickets.

Work Environment

Our facility is the largest label manufacturer globally, specializing in pharmaceutical extended content labels, and employs approximately 225 full-time staff at our York plant. Enjoy a structured schedule and a supportive work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
