Project Engineer
5–7 Months
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer for a 5–7 month contract supporting a high‑intensity industrial manufacturing project. This role requires a strong technical foundation in large‑scale equipment installations, process piping, industrial electrical systems, and manufacturing facility build‑outs . The Project Engineer will be heavily involved in field activities, supporting construction teams, reviewing drawings, answering technical questions, and ensuring seamless installation and commissioning of complex manufacturing systems. Key Responsibilities- Review and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and construction documents.
- Support the installation of large-scale manufacturing equipment, process piping, and industrial electrical infrastructure.
- Respond to technical inquiries and troubleshoot field installation issues.
- Work with engineers, trades, contractors, and vendors to ensure technical accuracy and project alignment.
- Participate in design and constructability reviews.
- Monitor construction progress, document changes, and ensure adherence to specifications and safety requirements.
- Provide engineering input during installation, startup, and commissioning phases.
- Strong background in industrial manufacturing, including mechanical, piping, and electrical system installations.
- Experience with manufacturing construction, facility build‑outs, and large equipment installation projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints, P&IDs, and layout drawings.
- Hands‑on experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical installation challenges.
- Not dependent on cleanroom or healthcare experience—industrial manufacturing background is most relevant.
- Experience with healthcare or pharmaceutical projects is advantageous.
- Familiarity with industrial project environments is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, construction‑driven environment.
This project demands a significant time commitment:
- 7 days per week
- 10 hours per day
- Hourly compensation with overtime based on schedule intensity.
- This position requires on‑site presence in Pennsylvania throughout the duration of the contract.
- Opportunity to support a full-service engineering firm, offering strong collaboration, exposure to multiple engineering disciplines, and potential future engagement.
- The hiring process includes an internal interview, followed by an on‑site interview with the client.
This is a Contract position based out of Bethlehem, PA.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
