We are seeking an experienced Perfusionist to join a renowned Cardiac Surgery program at a prestigious academic medical center located in scenic Central Pennsylvania . This is a long-term 1099 contract opportunity extending through June 2026 .

About the Program:
This advanced cardiovascular center is recognized as a regional leader in complex cardiac care, education, and innovation . The perfusion team plays a vital role in adult cardiac surgery, heart and lung transplantation , and high-acuity mechanical circulatory support, including ECMO, VADs, and intra-aortic balloon pumps .
The program supports:
- A robust ECMO transport service
- Collaborative multidisciplinary teams of CT surgeons, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and perfusionists
- Clinical trials and education , giving you the opportunity to contribute to future advancements in perfusion science
You'll join a team of five experienced perfusionists , sharing call responsibilities and operating at the forefront of cardiac innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the heart-lung machine and cardiopulmonary support devices
- Manage blood conservation systems (Cell Saver, Rapid Infuser)
- Provide support for ECMO, IABP, and VADs
- Collaborate closely with surgical and critical care teams
Schedule:
- MondayFriday (5 shifts/week)
- On-call rotation: 1 in 5
- Occasional overnight and weekend shifts
Requirements:
- Active Pennsylvania Perfusion License (or eligibility to obtain)
- ABCP Certified or Board Eligible
- At least 1 year of experience preferred
Contract Details:
- Start Date: ASAP (flexible, but sooner preferred)
- End Date: June 2026
- Pay: $115.00 $135.00/hour (1099)
- Travel and lodging covered
