What You’ll Do

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Teradata core database architectures for large-scale enterprise environments.
• Drive performance tuning, workload management, and ensure high availability and reliability of database systems.
• Implement best practices for data governance, integrity, and security, ensuring compliance with Indian and global standards.
• Act as a subject matter expert, influencing strategic decisions and mentoring peers within the Hyderabad team and across global teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, analytics, infrastructure) to deliver innovative and scalable data solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging database technologies and recommend enhancements to maintain technical leadership.
• Encourage best practices, foster collaboration, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that elevate team performance.
• Inspire Through Vision: Communicate a clear roadmap for technical innovation and team growth, motivating peers to embrace new challenges and opportunities
• Build credibility by consistently delivering high-impact solutions and demonstrating deep technical expertise, earning trust across teams.
• Act as a Connector: Bridge gaps between global teams, ensuring alignment and knowledge flow across geographies to strengthen collective capability.

Who You’ll Work With

• You will be part of a high-performing, collaborative team of database and analytics professionals based in Hyderabad and globally.
• You will interact with engineering, analytics, and product teams across geographies, contributing to both local and international projects.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

• 10+ years of experience in database engineering or architecture
• Advanced knowledge of database internals, SQL optimization, and workload management.
• Expertise in Optimizer and query performance tuning.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
