What You’ll Do

• Oversee all aspects of the beer and wine category—pricing, product mix, promotions, and inventory performance

• Use category data insights to shape buying decisions, improve margins, and identify growth opportunities

• Build and execute category strategies aligned with store-level goals and brand positioning

• Negotiate with distributors and suppliers to maximize trade spend, advertising support, and new product pipelines

• Lead seasonal resets, planograms, and promotional launches that boost visibility and conversion

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations to optimize placement and storytelling

• Evaluate private label possibilities and new consumer trends within the alcohol segment

• Partner with store leaders to ensure execution accuracy, compliance, and visual excellence

• Mentor and manage merchandising associates, promoting ownership and performance accountability

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline

• 3+ years of experience in category management or retail leadership within the beer, wine, or alcohol industry

• Strong background in supplier negotiation, assortment planning, and sales analysis

• Knowledge of beverage industry standards, legal requirements, and merchandising best practices

• Proficient in Excel, Power BI, or comparable category analytics tools

• Skilled communicator and collaborator with a balance of strategy and operational detail
