Job Title: Residential Advisor
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provides residential support for individuals with intellectual disabilities in a community home setting.*
- Maintains a positive working relationship with identified participants, community agencies, medical professionals, and other collaborative entities.*
- Ensures the safety, health, and well-being of individuals with intellectual disabilities by providing residential supports.*
- Provide assistance with bathing, toileting, and all aspects of hygiene.*
- Maintains a calm home environment that enables participants to live an independent life.*
- Provides support in daily living activities.*
- Implements aspects of the participant's Individualized Support Plan.*
- Creates and promotes opportunities for participants to fully achieve their goals.*
- Provides support in daily living activities.*
- Encourages skill development and goal attainment.*
- Participates in community activities that promote socialization for participants.*
- Provides transportation for participants to fully engage in the community.*
- Documents clearly the daily progress of participants in ALIS, and other systems: at the completion of each shift.*
- Commits to high-quality residential services for all participants.*
- Complies with all policies, procedures, and Chapter 6400 regulations.*
- Remains flexible to work rotating shifts with non-traditional hours to meet the needs of the participants.*
- Lifting, pivoting and transferring are skills required for this role.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or extensive experience or training on intellectual disabilities or the mental health field.
Certificates and Licenses (Preferred):
- CPR/first aid
- Fire safety
- Crisis management
- Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73
*Pathways Community Living will obtain the clearances or certifications for employees to meet these requirements.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
