Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Individual Giving and Campaign Priorities, the Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Individual Giving and Campaign Priorities provides strategic leadership and execution for securing major and principal gifts in support of Temple University's highest institutional priorities. The AVP manages a portfolio of high-capacity donors and works closely with Deans, Assistant Deans of Development, academic leaders, and central advancement teams to align donor interests with initiatives that advance research, student success, and institutional priorities. This role plays a key part in campaign execution, pipeline development, and the advancement of a strong culture of philanthropy across the university.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned fundraising leader with a demonstrated record of closing significant gifts and working effectively across a complex organization. Travel disclosure: This position involves travel throughout the Philadelphia metropolitan area and targeted regions across the country to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, engage alumni and stakeholders, and advance the university's fundraising and strategic priorities. * Master's Degree.
* At least eight (8) years of directly related experience and progressively responsible experience in major and principal gift fundraising.
* Demonstrated success securing seven-figure gifts.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preferred Education and Experience
* Fundraising experienced in a capital campaign. Required Skills and Abilities

* Ability to travel and work evenings, weekends and early mornings as needed. This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
