Warehouse Lead
You’ll spend most of your day (about 70–80%) on the floor alongside the team picking, packing, receiving, and processing returns. In addition, you’ll size up the day’s workload, run a short standup meeting, assign team members to specific tasks, and shift people or priorities throughout the day as workloads change. As the lead on-site, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and on-time operation. You’ll work closely with company leadership and our customer support team. Schedule: Primarily weekday daytime hours, with occasional Saturday coverage shared on a rotating basis. What You’ll Do Lead from the Front
- Work side-by-side with the team in picking, packing, receiving, putaway, and returns
- Step into bottlenecks and help maintain daily momentum
- Model professionalism, accountability, and strong work ethic
- Review daily order volume, receiving backlog, and expected inbound shipments
- Decide who is working where and set clear priorities for the day
- Run a short morning standup meeting
- Shift team members or adjust priorities as volume changes
- Identify potential service-level risks early and escalate when needed
- Provide real-time coaching on procedures and quality standards
- Reinforce safe, accurate work habits
- Support onboarding and hands-on training of new team members
- Address minor performance issues constructively and professionally
- Coordinate and confirm daily pickups
- Communicate with parcel carriers to resolve schedule issues
- Ensure shipments are staged and ready on time
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
- Conduct routine building and equipment checks
- Coordinate minor maintenance needs
- Enforce safety standards and proper equipment use
- Ensure labor hours are recorded accurately
- Support basic performance tracking
- Maintain orderly staging areas and workflow discipline
- 2+ years of warehouse or fulfillment experience
- Experience in a lead or supervisor role preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and decisive in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort using warehouse systems and basic reporting tools
- Physical ability to lift and move inventory throughout the day
- $24–$27 per hour, depending on experience
