Speech Language Pathologist Job Details

• Job Title: Locum Tenens Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Outpatient & Inpatient
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel SLP contract)
• Healthcare Setting: Outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation centers
• Location: Clearfield, PA and Philipsburg, PA (alternating days) – Central Pennsylvania SLP jobs
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
• Shift: Day shifts, 5x8-hour (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Patient Demographics: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

SLP Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania Speech Language Pathologist license (must be obtained prior to start date)
• Minimum 1 year of SLP experience (charge experience preferred)
• Experience with Cerner EMR/charting system preferred
• Skilled in treating diverse diagnoses including cognition and swallowing disorders
• Ability to travel between Clearfield and Philipsburg outpatient sites
• Compliance with Pennsylvania fingerprinting and Childline background check required
• Completion of required lab work within 72 hours of contract signing
• ACLS certification preferred
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius (no local candidates)
• First-time travel SLPs are encouraged to apply!

Speech Language Pathologist Responsibilities

• Deliver speech therapy services to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Manage a caseload of 2–3 inpatient clients daily and up to 8 outpatient visits per day
• Alternate coverage between Yingling Rehabilitation Center (Mon, Wed, Fri) and Moshannon Valley Rehabilitation Center (Tues, Thurs)
• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Document patient progress using Cerner EMR and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse population
