Responsibilities

• Actively involved in executing experiments and data collection
• Spend most of their time on LC/MS sample preparation and data acquisition.
• Performing sample preparation methods will include protein, metabolite, and lipid isolation from various biological samples, including but not limited to tissue, cell pellets, urine, stool, and blood.
• Perform and monitor LC/MS instrumentation and data acquisition.
• Responsible for analyzing and organizing the LC/MS data collected into various visualization software applications that will be sent to the primary investigator.
• Additional duties will include monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting the LC/MS instrumentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry or related area
• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Experience working in Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS) or other analytical chemistry-based sample preparation is preferred.
• Strong work ethic, will be detail-oriented and organized, and able to work independently although proper supervision and training will be provided
