Status: Full Time includes working every other weekend
Shift: Varied hours between 6am - 2:30pm & 10am - 6:30pm
Salary Range: Experience based pay starting at $17.25/hr with Sign on for Life Bonus!

What will I do in this role with Garden Spot?
As a Homemaker, supporting the Garden Spot Communities' mission will include the following responsibilities:
- Carry out the function of the country kitchen, including meal preparation, service and cleanup.
- Assist the household staff in the serving of all resident meals, utilizing your culinary experience or being trained in culinary skills in order to provide creative and individualized dining experiences for residents.
- Engage with the residents individually throughout their meal time in order to engage in one on one conversations to enhance their dining experience.
- Keep the household rooms and common areas clean using routine cleaning standards as well as those performed on a project basis.
- Provide activities for residents in their household, conducting programs, visits and activities geared to the interest and abilities of their residents, subsequently documenting activity participation and responses in PointClickCare.
What do I need for this role as a Homemaker with Garden Spot?
- Must be able to read menus, diet orders, recipes and understand measurement and categories of food for special diets.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and printed instructions.
- Must be efficient and organized, with a good sense of responsibility and a high degree of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
- An understanding of and willingness to live out our mission and values, providing compassionate person-centered care to all residents.
