Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Maintenance Technician. You will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems. This includes performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary repairs to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely. They often work in industrial settings or facilities, handling a variety of tasks from mechanical and electrical repairs to plumbing and HVAC system maintenance.

Job Description

• Routine Maintenance: Performing scheduled maintenance on equipment and systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and other system issues and making necessary repairs.
• Inspections: Conducting regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Emergency Repairs: Responding to urgent maintenance requests and addressing breakdowns quickly and effectively.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Collaboration: Working with other team members, contractors, and facility managers to coordinate maintenance efforts.
• Safety Compliance: Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Inventory Management: Maintaining an inventory of spare parts and tools.

Skills Required

• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues.
• Hand Tool & Equipment Proficiency: Experience using a variety of hand tools and equipment for repairs.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and working in various environments.
• Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety procedures and regulations.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain accurate records.

Additional Requirements

• This position is temporary and can go long term, the individual will be trained on the first shift (2-3 weeks) then move to the second shift
  • First shift hours 6am to 2:30 pm Mon to Fri
  • Second shift: 3:30 pm to midnight
