Diesel Heavy Equipment Mechanic
RES Coal is hiring Heavy Equipment Field Mechanics to maintain one of the largest CAT mining fleets in Pennsylvania. This is steady year-round work, paid drive time, and a take-home service truck—not a road construction job that stops when the weather turns. If you want independence, big-iron work, and a company that supports mechanics with real tools and resources, this is the job. If you’re the type who gets the job done and doesn’t need micromanaged, you’ll fit in here.
WHY WORK HERE
- We’re a privately owned company with strong, diversified businesses, making us stable and resilient in tough markets.
- Pay is based on skill and performance—not time served. If you do well, you move up fast.
- Field mechanics are backed by a full in-house support team: parts runners, lube techs, shop mechanics, rebuild specialists, welders, and line-borers.
- No overnight travel – you’re home every night, and you work for a company that understands that things happen.
- Opportunities to cross-train across weld, rebuild, hydraulics, electrical, and more if you want to grow.
In short – we treat our mechanics like professionals, not like numbers on a roster.
