Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year A bit about us: Our client, a growing food manufacturing company, is seeking a Quality & Food Safety (QFS) Supervisor to oversee plant-level quality systems and food safety programs. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and internal quality standards while promoting a strong food safety culture across the facility. 2. Implement, monitor, and maintain Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plans, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
3. Lead, train, and mentor a team of quality assurance and food safety professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
4. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality and food safety standards, taking corrective action as necessary.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement initiatives and resolve any issues related to product quality or food safety.
6. Stay updated on the latest industry trends, regulations, and food safety principles, and incorporate this knowledge into our QFS programs.
7. Manage customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
8. Develop and maintain quality and food safety documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Qualifications: 1. A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality and Food Safety role in the Manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
3. Proven experience with HACCP, cGMPs, GDPs, and food safety principles is essential.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, train, and mentor staff.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
6. Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to quality and food safety.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with all levels of the organization.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management systems.
