REGIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER - Northeast Region (ME,NH,VT,MA,RI,CT, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, WV, VA)

As a Regional Account Manager, you will own sales growth for our MCI® specialty concrete corrosion inhibitors across your region. You’ll partner with ready-mix producers, contractors, and engineers to protect critical infrastructure and extend the life of concrete structures. This role combines technical problem-solving with long-term relationship building, backed by a respected brand and strong internal technical support.

Northeast Region – Candidates are ideally based in eastern Pennsylvania or New Jersey (for example, the Philadelphia, Allentown/Lehigh Valley, Pittsburgh, or Newark/Jersey City areas) and must live within the Northeast territory (ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, WV, VA) with reasonable proximity to a major commercial airport to support effective travel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales objectives within the assigned territory.
  • Develop business through both new and existing accounts, including distributors, ready-mix suppliers, contractors, and engineering firms.
  • Identify, prioritize, and pursue opportunities across targeted product groups in new construction and concrete repair/restoration applications.
  • Generate and qualify leads through lead generation tools/systems.
  • Prepare and assist with bid packages, technical submittals, and DOT/QPL submissions as required by customers or project specifications.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and maintain appropriate call volume and CRM activity to ensure a healthy sales pipeline aligned with performance goals.
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain admixture dosing and dispensing equipment at customer facilities, ensuring proper operation and compliance with company and safety standards. Provide on-site assistance and technical guidance for product applications, batch trials, and field performance evaluations.
  • Stay informed on local market conditions, competitive activity, and pricing trends; communicate relevant insights into management to inform regional strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry associations, trade shows, and professional events to promote brand visibility and foster key relationships.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with internal teams, customers, and distributors to ensure exceptional service and follow-through.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment, which includes assisting other team members as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Secondary job accountabilities

  • Assist with MCI promotion to major engineering/architectural firms within the assigned territory.
  • Perform field testing as required
  • Provide new product introduction ideas, pricing suggestions, and identification of markets.
  • Perform additional sales responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education :

  • High school diploma required
  • Technical degree (engineering, construction management, chemistry, or related field) preferred

Minimum Experience:

  • 1–5 years of professional experience, preferably in a B2B or field-based sales environment
  • Ability to work extensively on a company provided computer (email, CRM, virtual meetings, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate frequently via telephone and virtual platforms with customers and internal teams

Preferred Experience :

  • Sales experience in Sales experience in construction materials, concrete products, or specialty chemicals
  • Familiarity with admixture dosing systems or similar mechanical equipment installations
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a B2B environment
  • Proficiency with CRM and lead generation systems

LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must live and work within the assigned territory and be able to travelup to 50% within the region
  • Requires periodic travel to Cortec Corporation’s headquarters in St. Paul, MN

PAY TRANSPARENCY & BENEFITS

The base pay range for this position is $75,000-$90,000 per year, based on factors such as experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market considerations. On‑target earnings (OTE) for year one are typically in the range of $110,000–$120,000, with uncapped commission potential above this level based on performance.

This role is eligible for Cortec Corporation’s comprehensive benefits program, which includes medical, dental, short- & long-term disability, and vision coverage; a 401(k) retirement plan with a 3% company safe harbor contribution; paid time off; paid holidays; and other benefits and programs in accordance with company policy.
