Research Chemist, Entry Level

As an entry level Analytical Chemist , you will join PPG's Global Analytical Network as a member of the liquid Chromatography Team at PPG's Monroeville Business and Technology Center, Monroeville, PA. Responsibilities will include the use of liquid chromatography techniques and related instrumentation to help improve new product development, and perform testing for customer and manufacturing issues, and support regulatory requests. You will prepare samples, acquire data, write reports including analysis of the data, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety protocols.

• Operate High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), related Chromatography instrumentation, and given the opportunity to support additional analytical techniques.

• Prepare samples, acquire data, document results.

• Support method development for novel chemicals by LC.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment proficiency.

• Learn and become proficient in analytical capabilities.

• Apply Chemistry and Analytical knowledge to accelerate innovation and product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related with 0+ years of related working experience.

• Previous experience with Chromatography and analytical Method Development.

• Travel - less than 10%.
