This position is part-time, M - F 4:00p - 8:00p.
Location: CHOP - King of Prussia

Performs variety of cleaning and janitorial services in assuring the cleanliness, neatness, and orderliness of the client’s facilities including mopping, scrubbing, floors, and trash removal. This position may participate in set-ups of special events and flexibility is a must.

POSITION SUMMARY: Custodial workers are those employees who are generally responsible for the cleaning of all area of the buildings. These areas include offices, classrooms, corridors, lobbies, and other public areas such as cafeterias, auditoriums, and restrooms. Project work, especially floor maintenance, may be included in the duties of these employees if these duties are assigned. Other required duties may be assigned by the supervisor. Scope of work: Directly responsible for daily cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting areas within housing facility for isolated and quarantine individual s with possible COVID 19. Ensures all work accomplished according to customers and company’s specifications

Duties:

• Restroom cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting

• Rooms cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting, remove all Linen and Towels

• Rooms replace Linen and Towels

• Dusting, Vacuuming, mopping

• Glass and window cleaning

• Identify customer needs and relay information to the site supervisor

• Adhere to cleaning schedules and CDC Guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting

• Assist in Delivery of meals and Snacks to guest outside of room

• Assist in picking up all discarded food at the end of every meal left outside of Guess room

• Self-inspect work to ensure the tasks are being followed

• Ensure tasks are being performed timely and customer doesn’t have to remind company about

• Use flexibility in cleaning schedule to address emergency or non-emergency situations.

• Solve problems effectively

• Use good time management.

• Flexibility in schedule. May be required to work nights and weekend

• Locking the facility.

• Operation of the alarm system.

• Keeping all grounds clean and free from paper and litter.

• Office cleaning.

• Corridor cleaning.

• auditorium, library, conference room etc. cleaning

• Trash removal.

• Record time worked

• Perform activity set-up and clean-up.

• Report maintenance concerns (work order requests) to appropriate personnel.

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Attend scheduled training sessions.

• Follow instructions from supervisors; adhere to company and component policies and procedures.

• Display safe work practices

• Respond to emergency cleaning requests

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience and education/training typically necessary to perform the essential job functions.

Clearance requirements : State , Child abuse and FBI

T his position requires experience in custodial work preferably in a school or hospital environment. The employee must be able to demonstrate an ability to perform the essential job functions.

USE OF EQUIPMENT: The following equipment is typically used in this position. The employee must demonstrate an ability to operate or learn the use of each item:

1) Light vacuum (upright or backpack)

2) Heavy vacuum

3) Buffing machine (side-to-side)

4) Burnisher

5) Automatic scrubber

6) Hand truck (dolly)

7) Pressure washer

8) Carpet cleaning machines (Scrubbers and extractors)

9) Wet vac

10) Brooms and mops

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel to business related functions (typically training). The person in this position could also be asked to move from one location to another during the scheduled shift.

There will typically be less than 10% travel in this position.

LIFTING REQUIREMENTS: The typical lifting requirements of this position.

Lifiting50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. This is considered a medium lifting required position.
