SALARY RANGE: $44,000 to $48,000

Position Summary:
The Engagement Coordinator will support a funded research study comparing peer-supported travel training to travel training without peer support.

The Engagement Coordinator has two distinct responsibilities. Both responsibilities involve collaborating with academic and organizational partners to advance project goals.

First, the Engagement Coordinator will support the meaningful engagement of other partners with disabilities on the Steering Committee and Advisory Council. These groups provide a crucial role by using their unique expertise to ensure the patient-centeredness of procedures and outcomes.

Second, the Engagement Coordinator will support the implementation of the "Ready to Ride" intervention Peer Support approach. This includes supporting intervention fidelity by monitoring and evaluating its components. This role also involves organizing and conducting training sessions to support Peer Supporters with disabilities across the study sites.

Required Education and Experience:
A minimum of two years of relevant work experience is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Experience or training in peer support is needed.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:
*Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office software programs, email communications, calendar management, and shared drives. Proficient in use of web-conferencing apps (e.g., Zoom)
*Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary research team and to provide support to various levels of leadership
*Demonstrated ability to work independently, and articulate questions or problems encountered to supervisors.
*Ability to interact with and facilitate the accessibility of needs of diverse stakeholder population to include community partners, clients and staff.
*Ability to maintain attention to detail, and adherence to project deadlines.
*Good written and oral communication skills, in person and virtually (e.g., web-based meetings)
*Ability to conduct research fact finding searches, including internet and scholarly literature searches
*Ability to travel locally.

Essential duties:
The Engagement Co-Coordinator at Temple University's College of Public Health: Health and Rehabilitation Sciences REACH Lab will play a vital role in supporting a PCORI grant-funded multi-site project. The Engagement Coordinator will facilitate coordination across sites and support the implementation of the "Ready to Ride" intervention.

For each key responsibility of the essential functions are as follows:
Steering Committee & Advisory Committee coordination:
*Preparing materials for the meetings to ensure accessibility comprehension, and engagement
*Communicating with and coordinating with members of the groups via email and phone/text
*Meeting individually with members to review tasks and agenda items prior to the meetings
*Co-facilitating meetings to elicit members' feedback and perspectives
*Gathering feedback from members, and adapting procedures and strategies based on feedback
*With support, generating solutions to interpersonal, access, or scheduling challenges

Peer Support Ready to Ride Approach:
*Ensuring intervention fidelity by monitoring and evaluating its components
*Scheduling, planning, and conducting training sessions to support interventionist across sites
*Preparing educational /instructional materials (video, audio, written) regarding peer support and Ready to Ride
*Communicating with and coordinating with interventionists across sites via email and phone/text
*Providing an individualized approach when interacting with Peer Supporters
*With support, generate solutions to intervention implementation challenges to meet the needs of interventionists and research participants

*Performs other duties as assigned

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
