Make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students across York County as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. This contract role presents the opportunity to collaborate directly with local districts, including Southern, South Eastern, and Dallastown, providing essential services to students with visual impairments for the upcoming academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and current Pennsylvania teaching license required
- Professional certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience working with K-12 students in school settings is preferred
- Familiarity with itinerant teaching models and a commitment to collaborative practice
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to visually impaired students in various schools throughout York County
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized programs to meet each student's needs
- Consult and collaborate with school staff, families, and specialists to support student success
- Travel between multiple campuses, ensuring seamless educational support across locations
- Maintain ongoing documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state requirements
