Scrum Master

You will work closely with the Network and Network Automation team to ensure that the work progresses on schedule, within budget, and to the desired level of quality. Additionally, you will serve as a coach and mentor to our team – helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that the team is meeting its objectives consistently. Facilitates internal and external communication, removes impediments, and serves as the intermediary between multiple product owners, managers, and team members. Using strong communication, facilitates the project team through the Scrum process of Release Planning, Sprint Planning for multiple product owners, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Sets the example for Agile methods based upon the designated principles and ensures they are understood and exercised consistently within the team
Objectives of this role
Facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum processes within the company.
Guide and coach the team on Agile Scrum principles and practices.
Ensure the team works collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality products.
Work with Network Automation Engineers to prioritise the product backlog.
You will run the way we run our Agile platform teams, delivering business value earlier by:
Fostering communication by creating channels and translating lingo
Helping our Platform Teams become self-organising
Delivering training as part of our overall transformation efforts
Helping administer our tools including Jira
Setting an example including Agile coaching
Uses the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to conduct Daily Scrum meetings. Guides and develops clear Sprint standards while keeping the team engaged and on task. Responsible for enacting Scrum values and practices. Provides updates on the team's performance, removing impediments that hinder team progress and facilitates Grooming/Refinement, Sprint Planning, Demos, Retrospectives and Daily Standup meetings for the assigned team(s). Guides team to adhere to working agreements, helps to resolve impediments and creates a culture of continuous improvement by fostering empowerment and promoting best practices for platform maintenance and development. Creates a team environment by establishing trust and transparency through collaboration & communication.
Promotes a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and innovation. Engages team with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition; encourages discussion and conflict resolution. Initiates, builds and maintains positive relationships with IT and internal customers to help facilitate effective completion of project work.
Partners with the appropriate team member(s) for capacity planning and resource allocation in Agile tools. Guards and shields the team(s) from distractions and interruptions from external interferences.
Uses strong analytical and problem resolution skills to identify difficult sources of impediments.
Identify and troubleshoot obstacles that are hindering the team’s progress.
Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback sessions.
Communicate project status, risks and issues to stakeholders.
Track KPIs and help teams deliver high-quality products/solutions on time.

Ensure that the team follows the Scrum framework and adheres to Agile principles.
Required skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
3 years Agile/IT project management experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.
Preferred skills and qualifications
General conceptual understanding of computer networking
Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, preferably Jira.
