Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (Primary Care)
In this role, you will be an integral part of a sales team developing and managing an assigned territory. You will have the opportunity to implement clients’ marketing plan by using your professional expertise, clinical training, and judgement. You will:
Essential Functions:
- Leverage audience-specific marketing and sales materials
- Identify and develop business relationships with targeted Health Care providers
- Plan and prioritize activities to ensure consistent territory coverage aligned to client needs
- Deliver educational and scientific support to inform decisions by physicians, practitioners, and nursing staff
- Identify key influencers and achieve designated customer interaction expectations with a focus on top target customers
- Develop and implement plans for territory to meet market share goals
- Communicate effectively with peers and management
- Demonstrate effective presentation skills
- Complete all administrative tasks in a timely manner
- Present a professional sales image in all business matters
- Manage and maintain expense and promotional budgets for the territory within guidelines
- Must operate within Compliance Guidelines at all times
- Adherence to Policies, Process and Procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2–5 years of business-to-business (B2B) experience
- 1–2 years of pharmaceutical sales experience
- Pharmaceutical pain management experience strongly preferred
- Proven track record of success in exceeding results
- Demonstrated sales acumen
- Ability to build and maintain relationships
- Ability to travel and maintain a valid driver’s license for visits to assigned healthcare accounts
- Residence within the assigned territory or its boundaries required
- Local and national travel required for this position
- Understanding of compliance & privacy laws
- Must be able to perform all responsibilities of the position
