Job Overview:
The Fiber Construction Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the inventory of fiber optic construction materials and equipment. This role ensures that all necessary supplies are available for construction projects, oversees inventory levels, and coordinates with suppliers and field teams to maintain efficient operations while minimizing costs. The position involves conducting physical inventory audits, monitoring material consumption, managing material transfers and purchases, and supporting project closeouts.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor inventory levels across all warehouses and suggest optimization opportunities to prevent shrinkage.
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and collaborate with teams to prevent future issues.
• Order supplies as needed to prevent shortages and delays in construction projects.
• Communicate with suppliers to place orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Work closely with field employees to understand their supply needs and provide necessary materials promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, orders, and deliveries using inventory management software.
• Generate regular reports on inventory status, usage, and forecasts to support project planning and budgeting.
• Execute protocols to minimize inventory loss and ensure the security of materials.
• Communicate inventory status and issues to management in a timely manner to prevent financial impact.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software.
• Strong data analytics skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Advanced Warehouse System is a plus.

Pay Range:$45-$50/hr.

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
