Job Summary

Pittsburgh, PA | Regent Square

• Start Date: ASAP, but flexible for the perfect fit
• Hours: Monday to friday: 8 AM - 4 PM; Guaranteed 40 hours a week
• Hourly Rate: $25-29
• Children: 3-month-old
• Pets: 1 mini poodle mix
• Paid Vacation: 2 weeks paid family’s choice

1 week paid nanny’s choice
3 sick or personal days
all major holidays

• Requirements: Vaccines: Hepatitis A and B, MMR, Tdap, COVID, Flu

Responsibilities and Duties

WHO/WHAT: Tiny baby giggles. Chubby kicking feet. Long neighborhood walks with a stroller and a sleepy little sidekick. If your happy place is caring for babies during that magical first year of life, this role may absolutely steal your heart.

These incredibly kind, down-to-earth first-time parents are searching for a nurturing nanny to care for their adored three-month-old daughter, who they lovingly describe as “the light of our life.” Mom recently returned to work, and after an unexpected childcare situation fell through last minute, this sweet family is hoping to find someone wonderful ASAP who can step in and bring everyone a little peace of mind during this new season of life. Their daughter is happy, curious, expressive, and already full of personality. She loves tummy time, kicking her little feet, babbling away to anyone who will listen, and staring thoughtfully into mirrors with the confidence we all aspire to have. She loves observing the world around her and occasionally lets her feisty side shine through too. Your days will revolve around all things baby: feeding, soothing, singing songs, reading books, stroller walks through Regent Square, and helping this little girl continue to thrive. This family hopes to find a nanny who values secure attachment, responds thoughtfully to infant cues, and understands how meaningful the first year of life can be in shaping a child’s sense of safety and connection.

When baby naps, you’ll help with child-related tasks like washing bottles, children’s laundry, vacuuming, sweeping, and general tidying. There’s also a sweet little poodle mix in the home who mostly just enjoys being nearby and benefits from having a fenced-in backyard to explore. Dad works out of the house and mom works from home on Friday’s, occasionally traveling for work. They are warm, collaborative people who are genuinely excited to welcome another loving adult into their daughter’s life. Long-term, the family would love to find someone who can stay for at least the next year or longer. They’d also love a nanny who enjoys getting babies out into the world — library story times, neighborhood walks, playground swings, and little adventures together are all highly encouraged. Bonus points if you know basic baby sign language too!
