Project Manager II (Multiple positions), International Waxes Inc., Smethport, PA:

Prepare detailed technical specifications for process pumps and compressors, process control valves, and restriction orifices. Rigorously analyze process overpressure scenarios and size pressure relieve valves. Support Process Hazard Analysis evaluations and apply rigorous mechanical engineering principles to address layer of protection gaps. Prepare technical specifications for variable frequency drives. Oversee engineering consultants retained to assist in project engineering activities. Manage internal engineering progress and vendor progress by making timely revisions to technical specifications and job files. Serve as technical lead for the execution of some projects within the engineering team. Monitor engineering project schedules and communicate any cost and schedule impacts to the team. Perform heat transfer evaluations for pipes, tanks, and vessels and prepare technical specifications for heat exchangers. Perform Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis for pump, compressor, and motor failures. Generate and review project specifications, ISO's and drawings for plant capital projects and turnaround projects. Apply and follow API, NACE and ASME codes and standards in the review and sign-off of project equipment and installation specifications.

Full time employment, Monday -- Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field and 3 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in all of the following:

• Equipment design and development;
• Structural design and verification and manufacturing methods under API ASME standards;
• Experiment design in the area of rotating equipment (pumps and compressors)and conducting performance tests to evaluate process efficiency;
• Computer Aided Design (CAD) using AutoCAD;
• P&ID, PFD, and Isometric generation;
• Non Destructive Testing;
• Design verification;
• Material science and selection in design of pressure of vessels, piping, and rotating equipment;
• Controls and instrumentation;
• Root Cause Analysis;
• Engineering planning;
• Product design and testing; and
• Technical writing.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in all of the following:

• Piping design; and
• Heat and mass transfer evaluations and design.
