Job Title: Production Worker / Forklift Operator (1st Shift)

Job Description

The individual will be responsible for ensuring that products are handled properly through critical tasks such as loading, unloading, weighing, bagging, packing, unpacking, and labeling of pallets. The individual will be palletizing frozen meat from the chest freezer and placing it on pallets for shipment. Additionally, the role involves operating a sit-down forklift to move products efficiently.

Shift:

• Monday - Friday (7am - 3:30pm) or finish. Occasional Overtime on Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Load and unload products from the chest freezer.
• Weigh, bag, pack, unpack, and label pallets.
• Palletize frozen meat for shipment.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to move products.

Essential Skills

• Experience in warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in general labor tasks.
• Material handling expertise.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift operation skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Work Environment

The work environment is colder due to handling frozen materials, with temperatures ranging from 50 degrees in winter to 80 degrees in summer. There is a strong smell due to frozen meat, specifically totes of chicken parts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mifflintown, PA.

The pay range for this position is $19.42 - $19.42/hr.
