JEVS Human Services is seeking a professional to join our growing CareerLink team at Suburban Station. In this role you will be responsible for providing vocational and transferable skills assessments, career counseling, group learning experiences and referrals to partner agencies for the purpose of assisting members with their effort to obtain employment.

This role, located in our Suburban Station office is on-site. This position is full time, 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Administer appropriate vocational and skills assessment tools to identify individual’s preparedness for employment.
  • Identify and assess customer’s potential barriers to employment, and facilitate referrals to supportive partner or community agencies if deemed necessary.
  • Complete a comprehensive interpretation of assessment outcomes, employment history and psychosocial information to determine customer need for skill development.
  • Provide guidance for employment search process relative to customer need.
  • Create career plans that include career targets, use of labor market information, actionable steps and supports to achieve goals.
  • Develop, adapt and facilitate career development workshops and professional networking group.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Requirements:

  • MSW required or Master’s degree in counseling or a related field with emphasis on assessment and career guidance.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with adults in transition, career uncertainty or barriers to employment.

  • Proven experience addressing the “signs and symptoms” of behavioral health issues, such as: anger management, depression, homelessness, alcohol & drug abuse, etc. as they relate to employment.

The base pay for this position ranges from $48,000 to $50,000 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
