Underwriting Associate

Description

• Review and analyze insurance applications for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in evaluating risk exposures and determining appropriate coverage and pricing.
• Ensure underwriting decisions align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with agents, brokers, and internal stakeholders to clarify application details.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in underwriting systems.
• Support senior underwriters in complex case reviews and decision-making.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Analytical Skill - Ability to assess risk, identify patterns, and make data driven decisions.
• Sound judgement - Applying experience and logic to unique or ambiguous underwriting scenarios
• Interpersonal Skills - Collaborating with internal teams and maintaining professional relationships
• Attention to Detail in documentation and compliance.
• Knowledge of Insurance Regulations and underwriting guidelines is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42640.00 - $55660.00/yr.
