Line Striper-Pavement Marking Technician

- Layout and install pavement markings on roadways, parking lots, and airports using waterborne paint, epoxy, polyurea, thermoplastic, and related materials.
- Operate and maintain pavement marking equipment (paint trucks, plural component trucks, thermoplastic units, grooving and water-blasting removal trucks), including daily inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Calculate field measurements from engineered plans and/or aerial imagery, and track quantities installed.
- Perform traffic control (flagging, lane closures) in compliance with DOT and safety guidelines.
- Load, unload, and drive company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required; previous experience in pavement marking, highway construction, or a related field is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 5 years) required; CDL preferred.
- Must join Laborers Local Union #1058 and comply with PLP Co.'s Substance Abuse Policy and DOT Drug Control Program, including pre-employment and random testing.
- Must obtain Flagging Certification or Traffic Control Technician Certification.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort with smartphones and workplace apps.
- Able to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical work outdoors in variable weather conditions; must supply own hand tools.
- Willing to work days, nights, weekends, and occasional travel; strong teamwork and work ethic.
