Material Handler

Pay: $16-18.50/hr. (depending on experience)

Shift: Mon-Fri (7am to 3pm)

Description:

• Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a Material Handler to safely and orderly deliver pallets and products throughout the manufacturing facility.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
• Ability to handle materials and equipment in a responsible manner.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic as needed.
• Ability to work in a variety of roles.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

Responsibilities:

• Be available for Laser operators, Bend operators, material deliveries and Vendors.
• Pack/wrap orders as required by item/delivery type and prepare for shipment.
• Uses a computer as needed.
• Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons, bundles and /or skids.
• Ability to perform tasks under pressure, and within a deadline driven environment.
• Ability to handle detail-oriented work to ensure proper items and quantities are picked to arrive at customers in good condition.
• Assemble wooden, cardboard, or skidded containers or select preassembled containers.
• Assemble skids or containers.
• Bind containers with metal strapping or tape as needed.
• Operates forklift or uses hand truck to move or hoist materials from inventory to shipping area and load trucks or containers per shipping instructions.
