Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and dedicated Building Substitutes to step into classrooms and maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of regular teachers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work with students of various ages, support classroom activities, and ensure smooth daily operations within educational settings. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, enthusiastic about working with children, and capable of managing diverse classroom needs.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or develop your own based on curriculum guidelines
• Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions
• Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management and classroom management techniques
• Support students’ individual needs, including those with special education requirements or autism spectrum disorders
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents when necessary

Experience

• Prior classroom experience or childcare experience is preferred
• Knowledge of early childhood education and childhood development principles is advantageous
• Experience working with children with diverse needs, including special education or autism support, is a plus
• Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and tutoring techniques
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students of all backgrounds
