CNC Maintenance Specialist

J. Baur Machining is a manufacturing company located in Mars, PA. We have been a leader in precision machining and contract manufacturing for over 40 years. We are family-owned business made up of about 20 amazing employees. We have feature automated CNC technology with 18 CNC machines in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. Who Are We Looking For:
We are looking for a CNC Maintenance Specialist who can keep our machines running and our building functioning smoothly. Our main goal is to not have production skip a beat. If you take pride in solving problems, keeping our equipment running smoothly, and be the go-to person when things need fixing, then this is for you! This is a hands-on role where no two days are ever the same!

What Your Day May Look Like:

• Typical hours are Monday thru Thursday, 5AM-3:30PM, and Friday 5AM-2:30PM. Overtime is offered, but we can also accommodate a lesser hour work week as well.
• Bright and early, you will be responsible for opening the shop Monday thru Friday at 5AM to start morning maintenance on our machines. This includes refilling the coolant tanks, turning on the machine tools, greasing the machine tools, cleaning screens of the coolant tanks, and emptying the material chip barrels.
• Keep our CNC machines and facility equipment running at peak performance.
• Minimize downtime by diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control issues quickly and implementing cost-effective solutions. Collaborate with repair consultants on diagnosing issue and present findings to VP of Manufacturing. Oversee and/or execute the machine repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance to stay ahead of breakdowns. Track and record your repairs for ISO standards.
• Manage maintenance inventory making sure we have what we need.
• Work closely with our VP of Manufacturing, Production Supervisor, CNC Programmers, and Machinists to solve problems and keep things moving. Good communication is key for this role.
• Tend to the maintenance needs of the building and property. This would include the air compressor, HVAC, and motorized vehicles as needed.

The Perfect Candidate:

• Has experience maintaining and troubleshooting CNC Machines (mills, lathes, multi axis equipment).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Can complete forklift certification upon hire.
• Must be able to read schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
• A problem solver who can stay calm under pressure
• Self motivated, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Willingness to learn and grow - attitude is just as important as experience. We are a small company that strives for a pleasant work environment for all.
• 3 plus years of experience as a CNC Maintenance Technician.
• Graduating from a Trade School is an added bonus, but years of experience in this trade is also honorable.
• Must be able to pass a drug and background check.

Taking Care of You:
This position's pay is highly regarded to the level of experience that they bring to Baur Machining. We do not want to put an hourly rate together as this will be negotiated based on your experience. Our hard-working, employees typically work 48 hrs/week, but we realize not everyone is looking for overtime. Baur offers Paid holidays and PTO.
