Director of Fund Accounting Governance
We are seeking a Director of Fund Accounting Governance to serve as a senior, standalone authority on fund accounting policy and governance. This role is highly consultative, strategic, and focused on managing complex accounting matters while ensuring firm-wide compliance and risk mitigation.
Serve as the firm’s primary authority on fund accounting policy and governance
Operate in a standalone, consultative role
Own and maintain the fund accounting policy “rule book,” including drafting, updating, and interpretation
Address complex and non-routine accounting issues across investment vehicles and fund structures
Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards
Partner with investment management, finance, audit, and compliance teams on technical accounting matters
Provide strategic guidance on accounting implications of transactions and new initiatives
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate accounting and operational risk
Apply deep investment management and fund accounting technical expertise
CPA required with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive best practices
