Welding Shift Supervisor (2nd Shift)
Direct Hire | Onsite | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Oxford Solutions has an opening with a client for a Welding Shift Supervisor to oversee 2nd shift operations at a manufacturing facility. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll supervise a team of 5 to 7 welders, ensure adherence to production goals and safety standards, and step in with mechanical troubleshooting and repairs when needed.

Essential Functions

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the welding team on 2nd shift
• Monitor productivity and quality standards in line with welding codes and safety protocols
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on support, including mechanical troubleshooting and minor maintenance
• Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures
• Collaborate with other departments to meet production goals

Requirements

• Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting (union environment preferred)
• Solid mechanical aptitude with ability to perform maintenance and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of welding codes and procedures
• Ability to read weld symbols, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Strong communication and leadership skills
